Pre-Game Tips

Perfect Practice Makes Perfect: Practicing your fundamentals correctly and intensely simulates what you will face in game situations.

Strategy: Memorize the plays your coach teaches you so that you can run them in the game automatically. This will allow you to focus on the other aspects of your game that need your attention.

There’s No I In Team: A good player is unselfish and makes the players around him better.

Eat Right: A strong athlete will fuel his/her body with healthy foods everyday and not just on game day. Lots of fruits and vegetables give your body the nutrients it needs to execute at peak performance.

Sleep: An athlete needs at least 8-10 hours of sleep each night.

Don’t Overthink: You’ve spent the time preparing, now it’s game day. Don’t spend your precious moments prior to the game overthinking or letting your nerves get the best of you. Spend pre-game time listening to music, speaking affirmations or doing something that gets you excited about the challenge ahead.

Play Hard and Have Fun: It’s game time. Remember to give it your best, have fun, and enjoy the ride.
